Beers power through first ten games

Brew crew starts off the season on an 8-2 run

The Beers have come out swinging this year, having put up a ton of runs through their first ten games: they have scored an average of 10 runs per game to boast an 8-2 record to begin the season.

Their pitching has been equally as impressive, with Paul Robillard and Ryan Fishman leading the way as starters. Jay Paré, our new addition behind the plate has also been stellar on the mound in many relief appearances, holding the opposition to only one hit so far in 5 appearances. In the recent absence of some of our key players, we have added a new player, Martin Gagnier, who pitched for the first time in a couple of years and did a fantastic job against a very powerful Indians club.

On the offensive side, standouts have been David Leroux-Petersen - with an amazing 6-RBI performance against the Rays - and Chris Marra - the strikeout leader from last year who has bounced back with many clutch hits along the way this year. Our fearless leader Paul Robillard, despite struggling a bit at the plate this summer, ignited the Beers with their first team HR of the season. Lastly, Jay Paré has been very consistent and powerful, which has put him amongst the league leaders in both runs scored and RBIs.

Keep on chuggin!
